Half way the Journey

You open your eyes slowly and squint them as you see all lights shining upon you, you slowly open them and realise that you are in a room of pearls , diamonds and gems , your heart thumping louder by the minute and then suddenly you read a note lying on the ground beneath your cold feet ,it says
You have exactly 30 minutes to collect whatever you like
And you see a beige bag which is mocking at you for wasting a second for admiring its beauty and you turn towards the treasure with determined eyes..

Assalamualaikum everyone,

First of all ,

Ramadhan is  a month of blessings .
Well ,  among the many benefits of this holy month I notice that the best one is the constant increase in the level of Taqwa as each day passes.

The above vivid dream is actually a scenario which we are facing , I know it sounds weird but that is how it is actually,we have very less time and we have to collect all the blessings before the time is up!

Allaah azzawajal said in the Holy Quran , which means :

It was not untill I pondered upon this ayah and it's Tafsir that I realised that the real purpose of our fasts is to gain piety and righteousness or to sum it up, it is to gain Taqwa which eventually results in high levels of Iman

For instance , let us suppose you are all alone at home and it is just midday and you go to the kitchen to see delicacies and savories right in front of you .... No one is watching and you all are by yourself.. Will you eat that?

Wallahi we won't even get the thought of touching it

Subhan Allaah , isn't that a sign that you fear Allaah and deep down in your heart you know that your piety is increasing.

Fasting helps the human body to adapt to non availability of food and it also helps to attain control over your physical , mental and social emotions.

And when today I realised that half of this beautiful opportunity is gone I was like

The half month passed by in a blink of an eye, the rest will also slip away before you realise so gear up your seatbelts because ladies and gentlemen this half journey can make a lot of difference.

Here is a collection of sayings by various scholars which will tell you that no matter how your 15 days went you can still make the most out of the rest .

Ibn al-Jawzi said:

"When the race horse knows that it is nearing the end of the track it exerts all of its effort to win the race. Do not allow the race horse to be more clever than you. For verily, deeds are judged by their conclusions. So if you didn't do well with welcoming Ramadan then perhaps you will do better bidding it farewell."

Ibn Taymiyyah said:

"The lesson lies in perfection of the conclusion of a thing, not in the shortcomings of the beginning of it."

Hasan al-Basri said:

“Improve your performance in what is left (of time) and you will be forgiven for that which has already passed. So take special care of the time you have left because you do not know when your soul will be turned over to Allah’s Mercy."

I pray to Allaah subhana wa Taala that he guides us all to the right path and we make the most out of this Ramadhan
